Lois arlene stelson trump
1931-2003
Lois was best known for her dedication to the American Fuzzy Lop breed. She loved to groom them and was constantly working to raise better ones. She loved to show her bunnies with her fellow breeders. That was the part that she loved most about shows visiting with her friends. Lois was the treasurer for the American Fuzzy Lop Rabbit Club, serving from 1998 until her death in 2003. Lois, daughter Chris, and granddaughter Beth had attended every National Convention from 1994 until 2002. All three loved to meet new people and renew old friendships.
Lois was known for her sweet attitude, her smile and her kind words. In addition to the National Conventions, she attended every National Fuzzy Lop show from 1995 through 2001. In 2000, she won BOS at the National AFLRC show. That was a great day for her! Besides her love of rabbits, Lois had many other interests. She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Chemistry. She received her teaching degree from Kansas State University, and later a Master's degree. She taught Chemistry, Physics, and the upper math classes at St. John's Military School in Salina, Kansas for 23 years. She was a mother figure to most of the boys, often baking them birthday cakes. Lois was a Charter Breeder and Master Breeder with AFLRC. This is quite an honor as it takes seven years of showing Fuzzies with consistently high placements in sweepstakes to achieve this status. Lois worked hard with her Fuzzy Lops. Lois loved to read and never grew tired of learning. She enjoyed every day to the best of her ability. Lois touched the hearts of those who knew her. Due to her contributions to the American Fuzzy Lop Rabbit Club and her devotion to learning, AFLRC is proud to establish this scholarship in her name. |
