The American Fuzzy Lop
"The Head of the Fancy"
"The Head of the Fancy"
- A little over 30 years ago the American Rabbit Breeders Association accepted the American Fuzzy Lop as a new breed. The decades since its acceptance as a new breed, the American Fuzzy Lop has been bred to exemplify the standard and become one of the most beautiful show rabbits on the show tables today.
- Our breed is not bred for its wool, nor its meat. It is bred to be a show rabbit.
- The "Head of the Fancy" has an inherently charming head and face being very round with chubby cheeks and thick ears that fall generally within the round head appearance.
- The Fuzzy is a smallish, friendly, mild tempered and affectionate breed, making the breed a favorite pet.
- The coat requires grooming, but the purebred AFL exhibits and enjoys an easy care coat.
- Please join our National club, the AFLRC (go to our Membership page to become a member), for a great GuideBook. The AFLRC Guide Book is full of information on history, care, showing and breeding the AFL.
- Join the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) to obtains your own Standard of Perfection, the official publication for the breed standards of all recognized breeds.
